Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Val D'Isere, Chamonix, Courcheval, Les Arcs or Val Thorens

Hey everyone,

Looking for a bit of help, I am going skiing in early March with 4-6 of my friends, we are all advanced skiers/boarders.

We have previously been to Les Arcs and Val Thorens. However we are looking for a change of scenery this year, but would like to stay in France.

Any suggestions on where to go?

Our priorities are great skiing, good nightlife, cheap accomodation.

Does anyone know where is cheap to stay in Val D'Isere?

Cheers

Graeme

ScotsSkiBum, welcome to snowHeads.

How cheap is cheap? Val D'Isere certainly meets your first two requirements, and cheap accommodation could be found if you leave it late to book - VDI has a huge number of chalets, and it's rare that they fill them all outside of peak time. Check out igluski.com or ifyouski.com to see what comes up. Another option for VDI could be the UCPA lodge (cheap and central, but a bit basic).

What do you call cheap. What sort of accomodation are you after. Property is expensive in Val d'sere which impacts on cost of renting apartments.

Cheap apartment, hotel or chalet, we would rather do self catering. What are th other resorts like in comparison?
