Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Travelling to the Tarantaise on Good Friday, having suffered at half term on the Saturday on the way down, how busy will it be relatively speaking on Good Friday? ( I appreciate you cannot legislate for accidents or bad weather)

I drove from Calais down to Grenoble on Good Friday 2008 and the traffic was fine despite the weather being horrendous. I always ski at Les Deux Alpes over the Easter school holidays (this year I'll be there from 27th March to 5th April) and it's never that busy.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I'm hoping it won't be that busy too, mind you tunnel crossings have sold out early on Friday already. Last time it was shut because of the Eurostar disaster and we got to Ostend 12 hours after we should have been in Calais..... it's got to be better than that.

I have done good friday (as far as Dijon) a couple of times now - busy, but not too bad.
If comming from Dunkerque, avoid the temptation to go past Lille (no toll fees) , and instead get straight on A26. We wasted 90 minutes getting around Lille., and then hit Reims at 5:00 pm and wasted another hour.
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

, Good Friday is not a public holiday in France, so it shouldn't be too bad
