Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Good ski service/repair shop in Tignes?

 Poster: A snowHead

Does anyone have any recommendations for a good ski servicing shop in Tignes (preferrably Le Lac)?

I'm off next week and I need to get my skis 'seen to'...at the least they need a good wax, and possibly there are a few scratches that could do with ptexing. I don't need anything complicated, but I'm always a bit wary of massive hire shops which just run your skis through a machine and barely even look at them.

Ta!

Try Sport 2000/ ski fast in Rue de la Poste, in fact next to the Post Office in Tignes le Lac. They have a big Montana machine that does a perfct job. In fact other shops use it as well

I had good service in the past in le Lac on a shop on le bec rouge next to Nevada sports the boot fitting shop. They did some repairs on my touring skis & fitted a pair of bindings to my alpine skis with no problems. Seems like a good shop for that sort of thing. Now if only i could remember the name. Will continue looking online to see if I can find their name.

Edit - I've an inclination it might be TN'T mountain shop but i can't be 100% sure.

A friend had great service from Sport 2000 - 10 minute turn around in a morning to fill a gouge through to the core. Obviously through the machine but it was a nice job.

I had my skis done in Tignes Le Lac actually a few months ago for a couple of quite bad gouges and had a full service on them same time, they did a cracking job. The shop is the one next to the post office I think, so same as one mentioned above, I believe it is a Sport 2000 called Guy Clarey. It was fast, reliable and good value so I'd definitely recommend them.
