Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hello all,

I am looking at buying a sweet halfcut trooper, tried it on and it fits like a glove. But I am a bit concerned about the lack of ventilation. Does anyone own one who can tell me if they are too warm or not.

I've got one and don't find ventilation a problem. Mind you, I'm not a sweaty get.

Wore mine today and it wasn't much below zero at all - lack of ventilation not an issue.

I've a rooster which as far as i can figure has even less ventilation than the trooper. So far i've yet to have even a hint of a complaint with it.

I've had no worries with Trooper - including skiing in v high temps today at Patscherkoffel, slush is fun!

Seriously good helmet too - I've abused the Rocker (the kayaking version) for a couple of years now, and it's stood up really well.
