Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

A year ago, the top French resorts such as Courchevel and Val d'Isère were the most expensive on the planet.

I'm pretty sure A$pen makes it a point of pride to give the least bang for the buck to keep the riff raff out.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

I am very surprised at their suggestions and very much doubt they are best value at all.

Best value overall is probably in Eastern Europe somewhere. Best value in France is probably somewhere like les orres or puy st vincent. In the Italian section they mention ski 2 in champoluc - I contacted them and their prices were quite expensive for a family of 4.

I doubt these travel writers ever venture off the beaten track and appear to just visit the most well known resorts listed in the large TO brochures.

Got this beauty from the Telegraph 2008, still on the web

"Wengen lies perched above the spectacular Eiger, Jungfrau and Mönsch mountains."

It's a heck of a climb back to the hotel at the end of the day then ?

To be fair, they get it right in the main text.
