Any suggestions for cheap St Anton apartments/hotels?
Figured I'd go there for a weekend in March. However, I guess it's not the cheapest of destinations...just party central...

Try Haus Maperg, dunoo if it has a website or anything (Tourist office maybe?) but it's nice self catering accom at the foot of the main street, by Spar.

GordonFreeman, just a word of warning, it can be quite tricky booking for just a weekend until just before you want to go. Before that people are hoping customers will pay for a whole week and are reluctant to take shorter bookings. That said if you are going out of peak times you can normally find somewhere by speaking to the tourist office a week or so before you want to go. Good luck!

Do you happen to know if the free ski bus service runs later at night?
Obviously, it can be cheaper to stay just outside of St Anton but taxis would add extra cost if getting home late. I remember one such time in Chamonix where the taxi rates were ridiculously high in the small hours

Haus Mussak has a couple of very nice apartments for 2/3 persons. Friends stayed in it end of January.
Pension Zilberhof has good B&B rooms.
These are both in the Gastig area, about 10 minutes' walk uphill from the centre, and hence slightly less expensive.
You could probably find something equivalent in price in the Nasserein area - same walking time from centre but less knackering as it's not uphill.
But yeah, for weekends in St Anton you usually need to leave it until the last possible moment and grab what's left.

Nope, its only local buses and the service isnt great...i suspect this is deliberate to keep the taxi drivers in business...

Ditto St. Anton...20 euros for a four minute drive up the hill
CHeck out the place i stayed http://www.ski-arlberg.com/eschweiger/location/index.htm, at 38 euros per night it was the cheapest single room b&b i could find, id guess the appartments should be good value too. Its pretty much on the main home run, 5 min walk from Krazy Kanguruh and Mooserwirt and a few less rowdy places...
