Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Trip Report (VIDEO) - Val Thorens 16th - 23rd January

Having been back for a few weeks, I've now had chance to put together a selection of photos + video clips (mainly of the silly antics) from my trip to Val Thorens with a few mates on 16th-23rd January, to create a 15minute video (that's well worth a watch!) - which you can find below.

We were incredibly lucky with the conditions, the first ski day snowing all day and night, followed by 2 days clear skies. Wednesday afternoon the weather closed in and snowed late afternoon and through the night - again followed by 2 more days with clear skies!

we stayed in an apartment in Lac Du Lou - booked direct with tourist office in VT through www.valthorens.com
Eating - we had a great meal at a restaurant in the Caron area. Just as you walk down from the ski bridge and turn right towards sports centre, it's the big place on the left (on the end of the buildings) - go for the Pier Rade (spelling?)

Drinking - Frog + Roastbeef, Snesko + most of the bars/clubs on bar street are all decent enough - as you can see by the video we had a great time in them!
