Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Friends are going to ADH 19th March if I was doing it DIY which airport is nearest/Easiest?
Any accom tips? Like a chalet or hotel as long as en-suite 2 persons.

I think the nearest is Grenoble. There are buses from Grenoble Station to ADH - I think also from the airport.
Alternatively you can take the ski train overnight both ways, change train early in the morning at Chambery for Grenoble (1 hour and lots of uncrowded trains). That way you'll get 8 days skiing instead of 6 for your 7 nights at ADH. (I did it a few years ago, though I was going to La Grave nearby. You can also get buses to Les Deux Alpes - also nearby.)

Incidentally, if you are into off-piste skiing there is some great stuff at ADH, literally miles from any piste (but you need a guide)

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Agree with that, snowball. Grenoble airport is quiet and quick to get your luggage back. Buses connect airport to Grenoble central bus station, then VFD bus to ADH. Much cheaper than car hire. Easyjet go there from Stansted.
Alternatively, I think Sato-bus operate from Lyon St Exupery direct to ADH, you can find timetables on the net. www.vfd.fr or do a google for sato bus or lyon airport and follow the links. VFD is cheaper from memory. Could probably help you find accom in Les 2 Alpes, but is a good 30 mins from ADH and quite a tedious drive every day. I'm sure you'll find something in ADH.
