Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Poster: A snowHead
Hi,

Just wondered if anyone is going to be in Engelberg March 3rd - 6th next month and be interested in sharing a guide for a couple of days ?

Has anyone stayed at the youth hostal there ? Or have any suggestions for nice cheap accomadation.

I will be driving out from the uk and spending a few days there to warm up before heading on down to Realp for Tour Soliel.

Thanks

Regards Mark

Topsmoke,
Hi Mark
I won't be out in March, but planning for Easter - would be interested to hear any experiences with guides once you're back.
cheers

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Well
we tried to get a guide (from the guide office), but they were so laid back, they weren't interested in going out unless there was g'teed snow.
As it turned out, we didn't need them - there's enough 'easy' offpiste (if you're brave and suitably equipped), that we were fine w/out them.

I'd definitely go again, as there is a lot of easily accessible offpiste, and a fair bit within an hour or two's skinning.... had 6 inches or more on Sunday night, and an epic monday.
great place for a long weekend (if there's good snow)
