Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I know we all keep a special eye on our 'own' particular resorts - mine being Le Grand Bornand - but it seems from reading the snow reports section that it's a pretty good season so far as far as snow is concerned. I went to LGB for the Christmas week and back at the end of January and the snow conditions were in the main really good. Looking at the webcams it strikes me that fresh snow is coming down very regularly to keep everything topped up. I know last year was deemed a great season but I'm thinking this year is going really well so far too. Hope it stays this way for everyone yet to go.

Scotland is having an epic year. Very Happy

Switzerland is mostly around or a little below average, except the areas to the south of the main alpine ridge towards Italy where they're doing pretty well.

About the only place that doesn't have skiable snow is Grouse Mountain, Vancouver, where the Winter Olympic snowboarding events are due to be held. rolling eyes

The webcams and reports I've been watching religiously seem pretty similar to last season. Maybe slightly lower overall depths but equally good conditions. I think the good conditions were a bit later to get going this season compared to last though.

That's right. Quite a few places had rather thin cover at Christmas but then really ghastly weather at New Year, with much rain at lower altitudes.
