Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hurtle, thank you! Vodka-Pfeige? I feel a bit ignorant now but no, I've never had that! Mind you, with 2 gluhwein coming in at 11 Euros I don't think I could have afforded it!

HarryOK, as said above, we went with Ski Total and stayed at their chalet hotel Sonneck - couldn't fault it at all and it looks like its £699 for the week of 27 Feb. http://www.skitotal.com/AccommodationDetails.aspx?accomId=2030 Too expensive for us as well going with Inghams.

Oh, also meant to say, lovely as Lech is, never been to a resort with so many flat or even uphill sections on the pistes! Some places I even took my skis off to walk......

cathy, obtainable in all the open-air bars. Can't remember what they cost, but they were utterly addictive.

lordjohn, Sport2000 is a franchise, rather than a shop itself. In Lech the franchisee is Pffefferecorn (sp) slap bang in town Very Happy

cathy skating skills are an advantage in couple of places that is true...

HarryOK, prices match standards - it is money well spent wink

You tend to get caught out in Lech / Zurs by exactly where the uphill bits are. Once you know, a pre-emptive 'schuss like hell' often gets you up the other side - the bit going down to the Madloch chair for example.

Thanks red 27, I now understand as the map on the website gave an out-of-village location but this was for Sport2000. Significant reduction by prebooking online (as I understand it).

lordjohn, if you can store them at the Pfefferkorn then worth the saving, if not then you will have to carry them back to the Omesburg - oppostite end of the main drag. Obviously it depends on how tight you need to be with your budget, but I'd just go to Strolz. You can dump the gear at the end of the day and you'll be in your moon boots, in the midle of town all ready for a wander and a drink Very Happy

owen4220, not too worried about cost but I do like a saving however the wife does tend to grouse about ski carrying rolling eyes Maybe we'll take the easy option. Useful info from you and indeed everybody.
