Poster: A snowHead

Got some good flights to Zurich 20th Feb.
Want a good resort that may be off the radar with school kids and crowds.
Thinking maybe Davos?
Wondering if some Austrian satellite resorts may be better option.
In Adelboden at the moment,
Dark skies and fresh powder, lush.
Thanks for any input in advance.

jwhchitty, Have you thought about the resorts in Liechtenstein - supposed to be deserted but not been so can't comment on 1st hand experience. Stuben is a hell of a lot quieter than St Anton but on same pass and you can get train from Zurich to Langen and then a 2 min taxi. Stuben has an awesome snow record and great off piste if that's your thang

Not many Swiss resorts will it is Fasching though and most places will be busy.
Andermatt is a great place for a few days skiing but queues for the cable car were pretty bad at the weekend on my only visit.
Edit I read half term and thought 13 Feb, 20th of feb should not be so bad I think.

Our resort has very few Brits, but that doesn't stop it being stupidly busy all through the French holiday periods - other nationalities go on holiday too......... and I understand that Fasching is one of the busiest times.

TBH most resorts will be busy.. The Swiss love to holiday in their own country. Try Arosa or Lenzeheide.... Engleberg is also an option.

It is but I didnt read the original post correctly, I think the main celebrations are in the previous week and are finished by the 20th.
Not to say that that week won't be quite busy s well but judging by prices it should not be as bad.
