Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

ski instruction Kaprun Austria

Hi am going to Kaprun in Feb and wondered if it is better to book the ski school in advance with the holiday company or book locally? Am looking for a group lesson for a beginner + who has skied for a week last year, but dont want the group to be too large, and maybe private or small group tuition for 2 or 3 intermediates. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks

Hi Steve, unfortunately personally I can recommend anyone over there, but I am a ski instructor and could ski with you a day or so - privet tuition, but it would have to be all day instructing as It is a long drive for me to Kaprun (so no point coming for eg. 2 hours). What do you think? Have you got any contact details?

tompringle, Hi thanks for reply, how many people were there in the group? We are also going with Crystal trying to decide between a few hours private tuition or the week with the ski school group.

debbiejess, you could try contacting Les Salmon who is based in Kaprun. He seems to work exclusively with private lessons and I've only heard good things about him (excluding some unsubstantiated comments on here by an aggrieved member of a minority school in Zell am See Smile )

He is British and specialises in helping people overcome various plateaux I've heard

Worth an email at least isn't it as he is more or less on site!

Very Happy

debbiejess, Your ski pass includes Zell am See and it is only about 15 minutes at the most on the ski bus (also included in the ski pass!)

You'll get to see even more of your ski area that way!

debbiejess, Myself and people I've travelled with have always used Ski Schule Sport Alpin and always had good instruction with friendly patient instructors at all levels from timid beginner to advanced ski touring with a train journey from back and beyond home to Zell. They have offices in both Zell and Kaprun and you can book online.
