Poster: A snowHead
|
Just got myself a new board.
Went from very very cheap and cheerful beginner board to something more mid-range (price wise). It is still only an intermediate board, I didn't want something too stiff just yet.
Liking the plain black look:
To my question: the sidecut radius on the previous board was 8m, this one is 8.6m. Am I going to feel a huge difference?

Kruisler, I want a black board too
the side cut is the radius of the curve that it forms if you could draw a big circle based on the curve of the side of the board, your last board had an 8 meter radius and would therefore carve an 8 meter radius turn, your new one will carve an 8.6 meter curve, i.e. a wider curve, in comparison my board has a 10 sidecut which means it will carve quite a wide arc but it is difficult to do nippy turns but great to set on an edge and runs straight. You might find your turns will beome less and more direct.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

rayscoops,
Thanks. I know the effects of the sidecut radius, I was just wondering how much of an impact a 0.6m difference would have....
