Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

How to get to Foppolo from Milan (or other resort)

Hi All,

I will be in Milan for a few days and was thinking I might be able do a 1/2 day trip to Foppolo (or elsewhere). However, I cant find out how to get there from Milan (not the airport). Can anyone give me any pointers on public transport to Foppolo or another ski resort in the region.

Hi Sunnek

Usually a hotel picks up clients from Bergamo Airport in a mini van. There is a local bus I think that runs to Foppolo but would be very slow and not very frequent. The best option is probably to hire a car for the day - just bear in mind the road is windy, steep and not an easy drive if you aren't familiar with the roads. We are heading up to Foppolo in March for a weekend and looking forward to it - it's a great weekend break and very cheap! Good luck Smile
