I'm off to 3V on Saturday (weather permitting!) and staying in Les Menuires. Although one of our group did a season in Meribel, he never really ventured over to LM. Can anyone advise places to go/avoid?
We're self-catering, but will probably go out for dinner at least once, and we do like the odd beer here and there!

LM is 1 of the quieter areas for the apres, however there is a good apres bar as you ski back into the resort from the Meribel side, I do not know its name, but it has a very large plastic cow outside, it also serves good food

The bar at the Hotel Le Skilt now des Alpes is the main focus for Apres Ski in Les Men - not a lot else going on but there is a nightclub somewhere in the resort  You can alsways get a taxi/bus up to VT for a big night out.

Callai, our friend PTS suggested that the Yeti was an ok place for a beer

skilt bar is really social if I remember has internet access too. The yeti bar is a good too and does a great soup. where abouts are you staying. If its open there is a small bar restaurant up by the neige et ciel hotel really small and on the corner but does really great food. have a great time.

There is also a bar/restaurant off the 'boyes' piste in the reberty area of les menuires called la ferme. or igloo next to it. easy for lunch/quick pint.
