Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

New ski advice

I`m looking for some new skis but going round in circles trying to make up my mind so its time to put it to a vote. the ones i`m looking at are K2 kung Fugas, Salomon Lord, Fischer watea 84, or Dynastar legend sultan 85. At the moment i have a pair of 189 K2 Apache crossfires, they have served me well for the last four years and i really enjoy skiing on them , the only fault is they do seem to get a bit bogged down off piste in deep snow. As for me i`m 6 foot 4 and about 15 stone 10 and have been skiing for over 20 years but only a week or two per year. Any advice you can give on the above will be appreciated as i`m going skiing on the 20th so need to get some skis sorted asap. I`m leaning toward the K2`s or the salomons at the mo

everything , there`s 7 of us going on this trip one of which is a very good snow boarder and likes to venture off the beaten path, thats why i`m looking for more of an all mountain ski rather than piste only. still want something that will go well on groomed though.
