Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Could avalanche deaths lead to increased police action?

An investigation into manslaughter has been opened after a fatal avalanche in the Orelle valley (Savoie, France) last Thursday. The victim was staying at Club Med Val Thorens, and was skiing in a guided group when the slide occurred. The state prosecutor in Albertville, Patrick Quincy, is reported to have said that to die in the mountains in such conditions [avalanche risk 4] must inevitably lead to questions. He also instructed police to systematically pursue anyone skiing off piste on the grounds of “reckless endangerment of others” if they are caught while off piste skiing has been banned....See: http://www.ledauphine.com/index.jspz?chaine=85&article=243051 and http://pistehors.com/news/forums/viewthread/432/

The French police should learn how to spell English. They are wrecking our language, recklessly.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

No need to pillory the French Police. Just read half the threads on this site.

A sad postscript to this story is that a Madame Nature has been convicted of not being nice to God's most Wonderful and Perfect creations, the Rulers and Protectors of the Earth (humans) and sentenced to death in the CO2 gas chamber.
