Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

One way car hires within Europe - help!

I have the lovely problem of trying to join up a ski holiday I've won with a holiday I already have booked.

This means I need to be able to get from Grenoble to either Salzburg/Innsbruck/Munich.

Having done a little research:

a)flights are too expensive and logistically difficult
b)trains take a LOOOONG time (18 +hours with lots of waiting around)
c)I could come all the way back to London and then travel back out again if BA would move my flight but that also means losing a days skiing and seems a bit silly
d)a hire car would only take 8 1/2 hours and seems a straightforward drive

I've managed to get one online quote for a hire car- but it came in at £600! It isn't even all that far! Is this right?

Anyone had any experience of similar trips and can offer any advice or recommendations????

Farry, are you and Rayscoops on the same trip? http://snowheads.com/ski-forum/viewtopic.php?t=59479

Which 2 resorts are you visiting as their might be other options than grenoble.

I did think however that the best way of getting to/from Lyon to Inssbruck was via Gatwick (as suggested on the other thread)
