Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Innsbruck to Grenoble ??

Any international savvy snowheads have any suggestions as to the easiest and cheapest way to get from Innsbruck to Grenoble ? I have had a look at the trains bit when I put the route in to the search engine it comes up with a 10 hour jouney and about 6 changes !! Surely there must be something a bit easier ?

Any help would be great Very Happy

rayscoops, I had a look at Chatel to Slazburg and found a sleeper via Zurich i think, but it cost an Arm and a leg, looked a flights and that was a mare as well I gave up. Try "the man in seat 61" for train planning or www.jumblefly.com to see if you could do it on a lowcost airline maybe form Lyon or Geneva.

Work wanted me to go to Kitzbuehl for a conference which partially overlapped a trip I have to the 3Vs. Looked at trying to get from one to the other and it seemed the cheapest (and quickest, except for direct flights which were extortionate) was to fly via London! So I had to decline. Shame, as the Kitz conference included plenty of skiing time Sad .

I have a weekend in Innsbruck 5th - 7th Feb and due to fly back to Bristol at 10 am but a separate bunch of mates are trying to organise a trip 6th - 13th feb and have found a catered chalet in L2A for £289 per person including flights and transfer, but it looks like I will not be able to make it.

rayscoops, Just a thought, one way car hire ? I think its about 700 Kms so should be inside a day.
