Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Anyone skied it? I know its small from the trail map but is it worth a go as we have friends in the area?

Not skied it personally but know its enough for my cousin who lives in Phoenix to drive up there quite a few weekends each winter, and aside from skiing that corner of Arizona is well worth a visit. You can can go from alpine winter conditions in Flagstaff to shorts and tshirt weather just down the road (and down off the Colorado Plateau into the Sonoran desert) in Sedona in space of about 25 miles if highway 89 is clear of snow, and that has to be one of the most spectacular half hours driving in the world1

Have skied it several times. Unfortuantely it's either feast or famine, in terms of snow. The last time I tried heading over while visiting family - the resort never opened as they never received any snow all year. This is a great year so far - over 100 inches of snow so far. Keep in mind that the place is small - 4 lifts, and just over 30 runs. Depending on your level of skiing, it might be a little tame. Also, from a pricing perspective, rentals are not cheap/nor are they the greatest. There are a few outfitters in town that offer more competitive rates.

Sunrise is a much better resort than Snowbowl if you fancy a little drive. It's in the White Tanks close to Show Low. Two peaks, high speed chairs and it's more snow sure.
