Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Fitting therm-ic Power packs

Poster: A snowHead
The lovely Santa brought me some boot heaters Very Happy Where is the best place to mount them on my boots. I read that they can sometimes get damaged on the chair lifts. They seem to fit best on the back of my boots but I don't want to lose or damage them. Also is the clip adequate or do people use brackets? Thanks.

My wife has some and she just clips them on the back of her boots and although they don't seem very secure they have never fallen off or got caught on anything.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I think it depends on your boots. Mine have a special bracket for a Thermic battery pack at the top and back of the boot. Be careful getting on chair lifts as the connector can get bent against the chair seat when you put your feet on the bar.

I have broken one (need a new battery + lead) with an old chair taking me by surprise, just be careful. A couple people I know have lost them with them clipped on like that, just make sure the gaiter at the bottom of your ski pants are over the battery.
