Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Anyone worn their snowboard boots on the plane?

Hey,

I'm going to Pas this weekend just for a couple of days (please let there be snow!) and to save money we're just gonna hire kit there rather than pay loads to ryanjet for taking baggage but was thinking my Salomon boots are quite compact and could easily wear them through security and on to the plane.

Anyone done this? Can anyone see any issues except hot feet?

Cheers

nitch, shouldn't be any problem - I've worn touring ski boots on serveral planes and only once had to take them off for the plane. Never had any problems at security, other than the usual having to take them off to put them through the X-ray, and only comments have been along the lines of "not wasting any time getting on/off the slopes then, eh?"

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

There is a post on one of the boarding forums about this. People have done it and one chap has a recent mail from the airline (Thompson, I think) confirming this is OK to do.

As I'm only taking hand luggage, it wouldn't leave much space for anything else
