Bit of a silly question, but just wondering if it's beneficial to wear more than one pair of socks? I have ski socks, but will I be warmer if I wear a pair of normal socks under them?

No, and you'll end up with rub raw lines round the tops of them.

I wore sports socks underneath once... never again!
Apart from the blisters etc, it was massively annoying when the small socks kept falling down inside my boot. Ended up chucking them after an hour!

Sock liners are ok though, e.g. for cold weather.

Mosha Marc, strangely enough, no.
But, you may be on to something there...
Actually, I suspect SO Lampbus. I bet she stole it and has taken it on her tour of Australia. She is back tomorrow in a weakened state after 28 hours on aircraft - I will interrogate her.
