Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Mens K2 Silencers - Thoughts?

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Some thoughts on the K2 Silencers (in white) please... I'm 5ft 8 and generally prefer a short ski so think I'll opt for the 149s... I'm looking for a good all round ski for on and off piste and a bit of fun too... How have people got on with carving these? Thanks people!

Not skiied it but at 5ft8 if you are anywhere near a normal build 149 would be much too short even if you do like short skis as they are twin tips meaning that the last 5-10cm of the tail is not in contact with the snow making them ski more like 140s and if you want to take them off piste you're going to be wanting at least 169s to have any kind of float

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

they are a decent ski for the money, a little soft for ripping but they carve well and are ok off piste and great in the park, 149 is way too small, 169 minimum
