Poster: A snowHead
|
Hello, this week I am in the Pyrenees, want to do two days in Andorra next. Any reccs. please for hotels? Not really bothered about budget, has to be decent and all in, 3/4/5 stars? Pool et al included is a plus. Somewhere like Royal Tanau in Baqeira Beret is good. Thanks. BTW, is Arcalis the best place for a bit of a knock about on the snow?

Not Arcalis but have a look at the Sport Hermitage in Soldeu.

Just to say Hotel Palome was excellent, food and service top rate. Skiing good to fair. I know, I spent last winter in Verbier. With more snow, will be very good indeed. Hope to return post Christmas.

We 'did' all of the Andorra areas about 3 years ago. We stayed in the Sporthotel in Soldeu, which is a really good standard for the price (though never seem to have time to bother with pools so can't recall if it had one....). We enjoyed the high mileage skiing of Soldeu/Pas de la Casa areas but Arcalis was our favourite. Excellent skiing overall and quieter than the other areas.
