Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I am thinking about a trip to Revelstoke. Anyone know the best airport to fly to and the cost of transfers?

If you can, get an internal transfer in to Revelstoke out of anywhere in Canada.

Although I once met a man who'd driven from Toronto to Revelstoke.... Shocked

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I would say Calgary would probably be the best bet, all things considered.

As it's on the TransCan and main rail link west, transport options would be numerous and suit all budgets. Sorry, no specifics, but that's where I'd be looking.

Not sure there are formal transfer companies and Kelowna would be nearest airport. Greyhound from Calgary or Vancouver though

jbob, Calgary then hire a car Smile Internal flight from Calgary to Revvy will probably eat into hire costs. If you drive there you have the option of skiing other places too depending how long your trip is.

Calgary to Revvy about 4 - 5 hours depending on conditions, but you gain an hour due to timezone changes. Kelowna is around 3 hours drive.

Have fun when you get there Cool

Not been yet, but I was on the cusp of booking a trip to Revvie a few months back. After fairly extensive research, I concluded that driving from Calgary was not only the cheapest option (admittedly for a family of five), but was also quicker door-to-door than hacking about with connecting flights.
