Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

just a quick question - do you have to walk from the top of the le praz gondola?

Depends where you want to go...

If you are heading out on skis you can slide down to the Plantrey chairlift or the 2 drags down there. The short one of these gives you quick access to the Croisette & the 3 main bubbles etc. If you have weak/beginner skiers then it is a 5 minute walk to the Croisette.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Yeah the Praz annoyingly stops short in town and you have to walk the rest of the way.
I must admit I didn't realise you could drop down to the blue piste and ski down to the bottom of Planterey as offpisteskiing suggests.

I always get the very retro Foret gondola from 1350 instead of Praz, then you can take the red piste which joins Dou du Midi, then the green and you're in 1850. (or the crappy Crete's chair to the top of Loze/Chenus)

Thanks, confirms my suspicions. Looks like Foret offers the best way out. I have noticed Foret gondola before on my way back to La Tania via Arolles - very retro - designed by citroen perhaps.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Hight quality but v.old gondola cabins to export to some eastern European resort? It's not long since both of these two gondolas had the old eggs hanging from them!
