Poster: A snowHead

So, we bought ourselves these skis on sight as they're very pretty.
Daft or what?
Anyway. We both started skiing at 4 y.o. and have 33 and 39 years experience - too many weeks to count, both done multiple seasons, etc. Both generally ski anything on race skis, as that's most fun. But we wanted something to just make skiing the worst crud more enjoyable. And for hooning around in really deep powder when the FIS SLs are a tad too much hard work.
Can't recall all the specs but the FRCs have a 93mm waist and a 17m side cut. I have the 186 (which may or may not be the "Addiction" hard core model, hard to tell as there are NO GRAPHICS - just clear laminated wood) her ladyship has the 177.
Well, conditions today on the Grands Montets were absolutely pants. Flat-no light, cloud, snowing, busy, loose top snow on a hard/icy base, off piste rocky, etc.
Very, very nice. Very verysmooth. Remarkably agile. Will be much better in bumps than expected. Very, very easy.
So, so far so good. I think they'll do what's expected and will be much more fun in ordinary conditions than expected.
A proper review in the design environment to follow.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Keep the feedback coming - nearly bought a pair of these at the SIMS Salon Fournisseurs last year, was very tempted but resisted for some obscure reason... Would be interested to hear how they ski..

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

offpisteskiing, will do, we're quite happy, the other ones in the running for me were the DP Pros (not the Pro + which is silly fat) but while I like them, they have IIRC a 30m radius which I think would be less useable than the Wud's
Need to see them in the deep stuff though. Forecast for tomorrow marginally worse than today's so probably next weekend before update.

Who are you and what have you done with under a new name?

If you need more than 65mm underfoot, you need to work on that technique.
You'll be getting "freeride" boots next.
I just don't know what the worlds coming to.

but, srsly, there are occasionally conditions when the SL-Rs are less than accomplished. hopefully, these additions will make stuff that's generally unskiable fun.

under a new name, I'm surprised you've gone with such a tight turn radius if you're going to be using them as complement for the SLs. You may find them quite hooky in deep snow.

Sideshow_Bob, possibly, but didn't get any indications that that would happen. Deepest I found, however was only about 15cms. I'm not worried though.
If I want something with longer radius I have a pair of GS skis.
Mosha Marc, I do like the look of the BD Factors...
