Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Dave Horsley, that's great! Maybe British snowsports should focus on the nordic events - likely to be more bang for our Olympic buck that way. snowHead snowHead Well done GB.

The 2010 Olympics is probably a little early as most of our athletes are still very young, though the results suggest they are up there with the best in their age groups. Where I think we stand a good chance of picking up a podium or two is the World Juniors at the end of January. Even so we have a small squad so illness or injury could easily scupper our hopes.

We are definitley surprising the main nordic nations with the performances of our junior skiers - who have come on in leaps and bounds over the last couple of years, with minimal support compared to the main players (or even compared to alpine here).

Worth reading the squad profiles and the corporate funding section of www.bnds.org.uk/ which give an idea on where the funding is coming from at the moment.
