Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi All,

Can anyone recommend a good website to arrange ski hire in Arinsal? There will be four of us going, two need just the basic ones and the other two need good intermediate skis.

I used pic negre at the top of the gondola last year and was more than happy with the equipment and the service.
If you are going with a TO it may be worth checking if they can sort your gear for you as there are some good deals which include equipment hire lift passes and lessons.
We are going back to Arinsal first week in January as we really enjoyed it last year, the two intermediates will find more challenging skiing at Arcalis which is covered on the same lift pass .

Thanks for the replies all. Have been to Andorra a couple of times before however this time sorting out the skis ourselves. Anyone used skiholidayextras.com before? Got a good price on basic and gold skis (about 60e cheaper than I found anywhere else) and picking them up from Esports Rossell, which is where we got the skis from last time and they were decent enough. Assuming that as SHE are just the booking co. that not much can go wrong? Famous last words, I know!

Also with the skis, my mate and I like to think we are intermediate and will mainly be doing red runs. On SHE they say that gold skis are for advanced skiers - would they be inappropriate for us then, should we use silver instead? We want decent quality skis and silver seems to imply less quality?
