Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

bus transfer to Meribel

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi,

Trying to work out which airport to fly to for my stay in Meribel.
We are 2 (no drivers licence) and will be carrying 1xSki + 1xSnowboard.

Distance wise Chambery is the closest and the bus is 50 Euros return (1 change) This flight is most expensive tho.
Cheapest flight is to Geneva but transfer would be much longer and can’t seem to find a good return transfer deal. Any recommendations?

Grenoble any better?

thanks

Chambery is very prone to long long delays in bad weather, Ive done 14 hours in the airport with young kids in tow, Nightmare!

I'll be hitting Geneva on 30th December and heading for Meribel. I might be needing a bus (if my lazy rep mate can't get a car), so I'm interested in this info too.

Cheers,

Grim

edit: aah poo! I just noticed bensbus only do Saturdays! I'm going wednesday to Thursday! blast you cheap easyjet flights!! I'm still interested in how long it'll take though Very Happy

edit2: DOH! I should really read the relevant website in full before posting (or editing!). The contact us page (http://www.bensbus.co.uk/contactus.php) on the bensbus site gives good info about how long the journey takes:

Geneva Airport

From Geneva airport (GVA) we only run ski transfers to Meribel, Val Thorens, Moutiers, Mottaret, Les Menuires, Brides-les-Bains, Les Allues, Saint Jean de Belleville and Saint Martin de Belleville. This route is only run on Saturdays, takes between 3hrs and 3hr 30 mins and costs £65pp for a return. We do not run transfers to Courchevel but you can get off at Moutiers and take a public bus or taxi up to Courchevel.
