finally stopped snowing about 10mins ago. Probably 40cms at least up top. Anyone out this week will have perfect conditions. Leave tomorrow when the sun is due out! (via SMS)

There is a forecast for some more snow during the week which I hope happens as I arrive in Arabba on the 28th Feb

monday was a perfect blue sky day. Woke up today to a few cm of fresh snow, light snow and mixed cloud (via SMS)
Edit: I did mean Sunday. I think the long day travelling confused me.

snowed overnight and now heavy this morning. Off to cortina today he the pass is open. Any snowheads arriving tomorrow will have good conditions  (via SMS)

perfect powder day in cortina with two fellow snowheads and sueski, empty slopes and a lovely lunch @ Rio Gere with some wood skiing to finish (via SMS)
Edit: After doing a few chairs after lunch, including a nice black under a chair, we headed back to Rio Gere and then skied all the way down to Cortina on a cross country/downhill unpisted run. It's listed on the piste map as a non controlled piste but involved crossing a couple of streams on skis, goingthrough the trees and skiing across peoples gardens.

nickH, the skis were brilliant and felt the same as the previous Z9 model, so I was happy for that reason alone. I think the skier needs some improvement though to get the best out of them. My wife was extremely pleased with her new Dynastar Exclusive Fluid skis, much to my relief, as she'd never demo'd them.

pokemon, good news about the skis, though the 'need for skier improvement' angle sounds like justification for another trip !!
The cross country bit to Cortina sounds fun, sueski had been talking about trying to find it when I was there.

I can confirm the 'cross country' route was excellent, with only a couple of toe curling moments!! The snow was fab and sueski was an excellent guide!

Ive been to Arabba and going to Selva. Can you Dolomite fans give me some ideas for the surrounding areas please, with easy access to the slopes.
