Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Transfer from Lyon airport to Les Arcs 2000 - suggestions?

 Poster: A snowHead

Hi all,

I'm new to the forums, so I hope I've got the posting location ok!

I and 7 friends will be skiing in Les Arcs 2000 in January next year (yay!) and we're looking at transfers from Lyon airport. We'd prefer a minivan because the train looks like it would take ages, but it's also quite expensive!

Would anyone have any suggestions for transfer companies that are charging less than £100 per person return?

Thanks!

You need to Login to know who's really who.

1) Go to the Airport web site and find the link for the bus that goes to Bourg. From there you can get the funi and free bus round to Arc 2000.

2) You could also google, 'Coolbus' taxis as they have minibuses that will pick you up from Lyon and take you to Les Arcs.

3) Go on the Les Arcs web site and see the links there for taxis.

Last option. 4) Rent a car from Europa Hire one way (or two cars). Drive to resort, drop stuff off then take car to Bourg depot. Leave there and book the same for the return home. Not done it myself, but others say it is the cheapist way to do a transfer.

If you are out before the 16 Jan, come down to Georges bar in 1950 for a drink some time. Always good to meet other snowheads.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Thanks for that! I'd thought of renting the car, but keeping it for the week, which is fairly pointless and expensive. Just for the day is much better!

We're actually out on the 23rd, but if the Georges bar is good we'll definitely have a look-see.
