Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hey guys, Not sure if I've posted this in the right place.

Just wondered if anyone can tell me from experience how much it would cost in total if we were to drive to Cham from the uk?

Many thanks.

 Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

if you look at this site - viamichelin.com

and tell it where you want to go to, and from (you could live in Dover or Aberdeen, and you could drive a diesel mini car or a gas guzzler...), it'll give you a very good idea of the cost. And the route.

There are also many Snowheads threads on this topic - try a search. snowHead

Fuel 3-4 tanks (depends on car).
Tolls €130ish (based on last year.
Ferry Varies book early can be as less than £50 return. Mine is £25 one way this year (ie this Friday Laughing Laughing Laughing )

If you get the ferry right and can split costs it works out well. 2-3 drivers makes it much easier.
Also you can plan it so you get to ski 8 days not 6.

Derv £250
Tolls approx £100
Chunnel approx £120(boxing day)

£370.00 all in

we go 5 up, cham last year, meribel this year in my 330d estate, big thule roof box for ski's board and boots bags in back two of us share the driving.

its tight and we couldnt do it without the roof box, but we prefer to drive timings etc,

Breakdown is as is
Tolls £90
Breakdown single trip £30
Diesel £200 thats door to door 1444 miles return.
Ferry is £50 return with sea france

This works out at £74.00 each not bad really it only is really achievable with 4 ppl in the car.

We went with Erna Low last year and got the euro tunnel included in out price which made it even cheaper. Also my insurance I am covered for third party driving so no extra cost

as said earlier via michelin is very good but only do their route from calais to cham, not your house in uk.

Cheers Andy
