The bit on 50 seconds looks very reckless to me as the canoe shoots accross the piste just missing a skier.

Looks like very little contol, but that could be improved with development of the canoe. it may even end up looking like a sit-ski.
I would also be worried about my lower back - off piste soft snow is ok, but landing or bouncing on anything harder would hurt. I saw a vid of one of those crazy ski jump into/over a water pool in fancy dress type of events : woman did it in a canoe, missed the pool (no directional control over jump) and she looked in sevre pain on landing...

As they wave their oar for stability they remind me of ducklings falling from high places - which took this 'rad' activity into the 'cute' and 'awww' zone for me. Well, except for the breathtakingly dangerous moment Frosty the Snowman, mentioned. Great link though, cheers abc.
