A mixture of both would seem the norm, deep slow to start and then puff pant when you are knackered – try it – it should come naturally after a while

Well if you are going to drop your pants that low you might want to pop a cork up if you are really worried Shocked

Do not worry, the chains will not be too bothered about getting cold, but maybe store them on the boot warmers at your chalet over night

9 I got some Vaseline on my ski bases - is it a problem?

Depends what you were using the vaseline for in the first place, but look out for the cracks and small holes just in case

10 Poles - How do you know what length is right?

Hold one in each hand and see if they are long enough to click behind your back, or alternatively ski 10 meters ahead of you mates and stop and point the way you are heading so your mates know how to follow you ….. if you can do any of these then you will be fine because you never use the feckers for anything else apart from dropping them off chair lifts wink
