Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Anyone skied these? are they much different from the Prophet 100s? would i be right in presuming they are simliar but with the blend having more park friendly edges (i presume this accounts for the increased weight over the prophets) and more flex in the tail?

I was looking at a pair the other day - the heft is presumably down to the fact that they are sidewall rather than cap and dont have the metal sheets in 'em, so there's more epoxy and so more heft. I guess this make them more poppy and less damp.

Great looking bases, though, and that's what really counts Cool

I thought they had the same metal sheets as the prophets have? Line bases always look great.

I could well be wrong, but though the big lumps o' metal was what really differentiated them from the Prophets. Lumps o'metal not so good for jibbing.

My prophet bases are boring plain black with yellow logos - booo. All because I went for the grown up size Mad Might have to add some bacons this year to lively things up a bit...

Line blends are great I used to have a pair but swapped them in for some bacons Smile they dont have the power that the prophets have and personally think that the p's are better on piste! if your looking to get in the park tho the blend has alot more pop in it and isn't bad on piste at all! off piste i think both are good if anything i may favour the blend...

Skiied the 2010 ones this year at glenshee demo day, i thought they were really nice and i might still get a pair, soft tips and tails but not overly soft and they dont feel like a 100mm ski they were good on the piste i had a lot of fun on them.

Yes I bought a pair in the end, and really like them. Plenty of pop, stable landing, stiff enough and surpisingly quick to initiate turns and I find them just as happy to push relatively short turns or drift out large ones.

The construction is pretty tough and having spent around 3 weeks on them this past winter hitting boxes and the occasional rocks they're still in pretty good nick. I use them in the park, on and off piste and they handle all pretty well, just as you would expect hardpack icey pistes aren't ther best place for them but on a trip where I took them and my punishers, I went to the Blends pretty much everytime.

The only thing I'd change is maybe having a bit more length.
