Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I have a pair of 195cm skis that I may have to post soonish. Can anyone suggest a reasonably priced courier for skis? Both national and international(europe). I've done it nationally once before and it ended up costing close to £70.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Have a look at http://www.dpd.co.uk/dpd_tariff_guide_europe.pdf

You will need to ring for a quote as your skis exceed the max 175mm length but it may not be too much more. 31kg for £27 to France, each way, is a good price.

I interparceled some 175s in a box that must of been slightly longer last year - cant remember which option I used, likely the cheaper....

Thanks but the only thing that had come up was dpd that has a maximum of 175cm. They calculate cost by volumetric weight too so even if they did take them in theory it would still be over £50 assuming they don't add an extra charge for excess length.

I have just bought a pair of skis from Sport Conrad in Germany and they were delivered in 3 days by UPS for €25.00 with on line tracking.

Pharos International is another to check out.
I usually compare them against interparcel as each is cheapest under different circumstances.
