Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Touchguru, some of us "steroid induced muscle freaks" have been doing, competing in and coaching several sports for most of a lifetime also. Madeye-Smiley

But that doesn't mean that you know everything, comprex. Much like myself. I learn something new almost every week with regards training methods and principles. No man is an island Smile

We had a bit of a laff last night with the Pilates instructor. She was working on the cable chest press machine at close of business last night, maybe 90lbs shown. So we offered to spot at the free bench.

She couldn't stabilise an Olympic bar with 30lbs on it, not enough core engagement. Laughing

Smile Sounds like she has a muscle imbalance between each side.

As a "steroid induced muscle freak"... Wink you will know that Olympic bar bench press is much better for overall strength, muscle growth and core strengthening/engagement. (Dumbells even better!!). The cable chest press machine is great for rehab and getting a feeling for the chest press exercise but is a 'protected exercise' and in a limited range of movement.

As long as you have no injuries, free weights are ultimately much better than doing machine weights PROVIDING you have proper form and don't go too heavy too soon.
