Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Light snowfall keeps on in the Dolomites and we are expecting more snow on Sunday. The 10-80 cm of snow which fell during the night from Monday to Tuesday.

Since the last days we have fresh snow from quota 800 m and the villages in the Dolomites register up to 30 cm. In the mountains, there are up to 80 cm of fresh snow.

Going to Selva for the first time in February, made our mind up after seeing the fantastic conditions last year and already looking like a great season again, is there normally this much snow this early in the Dolomites??

We've been going to the Dolomites for the last few years in January. Last season (2009) was pretty good, but not a patch on the previous year, when it snowed more-or-less continuously for 4 days: powder skiing everywhere!

I'm going in January, last year we were in Canazei (Fassa) and we had a very good time. Snowfall is normally rather eratic in the Dolomites though..
