Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

High season bargains?

February half term-aaagggh! But for many people this is the only time they're able to go skiing and the prices correspondingly shoot up.

Have you managed to get any bargains?

Somehow, I have concocted a trip to Serre Chevalier that includes train, accomodation with facilities and breakfast for under £400! Admittedly, a fairly basic hotel but for high season this aint bad.

Has anyone else managed to squeeze their way in to a resort they like for a 'bargain' price this coming Feb half term?

kevin mcclean, what we're asking is 'why are you going at half term you fool'. For some reason pam w seems to have ruled out the possibility that you have managed to breed. Possibly she knows you better than I do. Laughing

I don't breed-I'm a Catholic.

Libertine-a jolly good bargain!

Colin B-a refreshing alternative to the Tories of Val D'Isere nonsense. Laax-a wonderful choice!

I have a got a good deal to winter park for just under £1800 for 2 people, last year I paid £21000 for Tignes both trips without lift passes. I can get a whole season pass for WP for £260 each if gives lots of discount in resort, so looks like I might go back at Easter. Not too cheap, but gave up looking for cheap deals a few years ago as they may appear cheap but I have found you get what you pay for. Over the past four Feb. half terms have decided to look at more top end deals, they are marked up, but don't appear to be as much plus you don't mind paying more if you get slightly more. I see it as just done the hard part of the teaching year, so my ski holiday is my treat.

Having said that when I go at Easter I go bargain basement just to get a second week

I haven't fully totted it up yet but suspect around £450 a head for eight people flights from Scotland car hire and staying in a good quality spacious appartment in Kappl to ski Ischgl/ Kappl/ Galtur. Exclude lift passes, skihire and lessons. Expensive this year as half term coincides with Fasching. I was thinking of going elsewhere but it has proved so popular over the last couple of years I was outvoted. This excludes the final night we will stay near Munch in a cheap hotel to give us an extra days skiing.

Well, we might be going to New Zealand For Half term so my chalet might be available as long you don't annoy my staff.
Depends what you mean by a bargain though.

I am trying to organise a DIY trip for 4 with 1 teacher.

Just been looked at apartments on home away holiday rentals and there seems to be quite a few in Chamonix for reasonable ish money. Is there a reason for this or am I missing something.

Also is driving to Chamonix an easy drive
