Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

jackie marshall, through your TO might give a little discount otherwise you will have to pay full price for one of the most expensive lift passes available.

jackie marshall, no problem. There is plenty Banff information if you are looking for any more, check out the forum search at the top left of the page! If you have any specific questions there is loads of 'Banff experience' here.

jackie marshall, welcome to snowHeads snowHead

The Banff area lift pass is very expensive - I think you have just to accept that. As far as I'm aware, you will not really be able to find any to buy at a discount - the only saving might be if you buy from your TO (if you're using one) now and the exchange rate works in your favour. Or wait to buy at resort wink It's a gamble.

The cost of the lift pass if you buy it at resort is here http://www.skibig3.com/banff-lake-louise/banff-lake-louise-shopping/banff-lake-louise-lift-tickets - add on 5% tax on top of those prices. See what that is in GBP and then see what your TO is offering it at. When it comes down to it - you won't get 'ripped off'. Just accept its an unavoidable expense and enjoy the skiing snowHead

The cheapest and best way todo this is book a package for around 800 pounds you can get 10 nights 8 days skiing all gound transportation. This is staying very close to downtown banff.
Banff is no more expensive than the other popular resorts in Canada, the average price for a lift ticket in Western Canada is around $70.00 CDN that is around 40 pounds. In Banff if you buy the tri-ara pass it's cheaper then buying at the resort and includes your transportation from Banff to the resorts. Oh ya it's dumping in Banff and Lake Louise

That post makes me look like an idiot, now that it is in an appropriate part of the forum.

Thanks, Yoda. Thanks a lot.

Don't know if they still do the Marmot card, but you used to be able to buy one of these (could get them from places like Safeway in Banff itself) and at Sunshine village it gave you something like the first, third and seventh day free as well as a discount somewhere between $13 and 26$ (depending on when in the season you went) every other day. Seem to be some posters at the mo based in Calgary and so I dare say they can give some useful tips on how to get the best value.
