Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Driving to Alps - Dec/Jan - Share Costs

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Mid-fifties but very fit skier looking for another male (my wife's insistance!) to share costs on Europe ski trip this winter. The plan is not to plan! I want to drive my car to wherever the snow/weather is good and stay for up to a couple of weeks or so whilst conditions remain good. Nothing booked, so you must be able to depart at short notice, anytime from early December 09 to end Jan 10. Any later might be risky without booking? I ski all runs in most conditions and have recently become interested in off-piste, though I'm still not very competent here.

No, it's the time before that which might be risky - January is easy enough. But not New Year, and probaby not Christmas, when many places will be full, and those not yet full unwilling to take other than standard weekend/weekend bookings unless they get desperate.

But if you're flexible and can stay down in valley towns where necessary, and drive up to the skiing, shouldn't be a big problem. Sounds like a fun plan. Or lack of.

welcome to Snowheads. snowHead
