Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi Guys

Don't suppose there are any snowheads travelling from geneva to zermatt next friday (about tea-time) that I could cadge a lift with?

I seem to have managed to book a flight that leaves me nanoseconds before the last train to zermatt - doh!

dg3, I've run into the same problem with a friend. I guess your difficulty is the same we encountered at the opposite end of the season in early Dec - they don't run late trains from Visp to Zermatt in low season.
Last time I got on the Brig-Visp-Zermatt train at Brig and noticed there's a budget hotel up the road from the station.
If you have no option, I'd catch a train to Brig and spend the night there, or there's a hotel across the road from Visp station if you'd prefer to stay there. Sorry, I can't remember the names of either!

thanks for that david....will use that advice if my geneva airport - train station mad dash fails and no rep can be persuaded with a backhander for me to jump on the coach.....on the plus side, looks like zermatt got snow over the past few days and more on it's way Very Happy
