Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

3 day January ski break in Tignes is in tatters. Shocked
Someone snuck in and filled our hotel while we were sorting final numbers. Mad
Now trying to find a hotel or chalet that will take 14 from weds 20 to sat 23 Jan 2010. Most places will only do a full week.
Tignes is preferred, but Val would do, in fact anywhere within 2.5 hours of Geneva would do !

I can do a nice 3 star hotel in Morzine with pool on half board plus unlimited patiserie apres ski and wine.beer included with the evening meal. Rate will be based on 2 to an ensuite room at £89.00 per adult per night. PM me if you want some more details. Transfer will also be far far cheaper than going to Tignes and no worries over snow at that time of year.

Sarge, You've got wifi on your rig? We are lucky to get edible food and a working toilet on my mine (built 1976 and looks it, east coast india)

Sarge, really sorry to be the bearer of possibly worse news on top of your gazumping... but just so you know, apparently that week will be the forces' annual wintersports championships (or something) in tignes. also, scuk are doing their annual bash in tignes that week, so accommodation is likely to be in short supply in the area.

Sarge, have you looked at the Alpaka in Tignes? They certainly used to do part weeks (although it was a few years ago to be honest). One of the owners posts here from time to time.

Yes, I think I've checked out all hotels.
Have ended up with what looks like a good chalet - we haven't paid up yet, so I'm not saying which one.
Have had to pay for a the whole week, but only usisng it weds to sat Sad
Got what I think is good deal, 3 nights chalet, with Geneva transfer for £281per person.

May try and sub-let the 1st half of the week - chalet owners are cool with this, so look out, there may be a bargain abaout ! Very Happy
