Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

La Tania - New Year week?

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Just a quick question.

How likely are the runs to resort to be open for New Year week?

Skied there for the second Easter week and they worked hard to keep them in decent shape given the conditions, just wondered how it is at the other end of the season?

Thanks a lot snowHead

I'd say 99.9% certain the blue to La Tania will be open, all the others will depend....

I seem to remember somewhere on the latania website there were some statistics that backed this up, but a quick search didn't find them!

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

sarah, The lifts are scheduled to open 12/12 and last year certainly, at least some of the runs to the village were fine for New Year. I have had clients there at that time for the past two seasons and no negative reports.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

We have been in the 3V for Xmas for the last 2 years and the runs to La Tania were all open. That said, the last 2 years have been pretty good for early season snow and it may be better to look at the 2006/2007 season for an example as this was particularly bad, the courchnet snow report from this time is here. Worth noting is that the green to La Tania doesnt have any cannons so may not be open if conditions were similar to 2006.

Cheers,
Peter
