Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Elan Zenmaster or Pogo Stick someone tell me something about them?

Needed a new pair of bindings, and basically for another £30 got a pair of elan Zenmasters in 185cm thrown in!

From what i can discover they are the same as the elan pogo stick?

From having a look around the web they are a all mountain oriented park ski

I am used to a fisher Kehua in 177

Bit concerned they may be a bit long at 185cm

How do elan measure their skis (i.e. do they come up short?)

and any experiences of Zenmaster or pogo stick (assuming it is a rebadged version)

thanks for any help.

Not quite the same. The Pogo Stick is better.

That is correct. Mind you, they demand a far more centered stance than other 'All mountain oriented' skis. At 185cms the 'park' designation doesn't actually mean 'park', it means "go ahead and jump off things on the mountain".

This is livelier and has more punch in crud. The Elan actually has less float in pow -per cm of labeled length- because the front end is stiffer.

Don't worry about it unless you're under 160lbs.

comprex, thank you, i am about 170lbs, so with all ski stuff on a bit more., i have the kehuas mounted about 1cm forward of the big mountain mark, started off on the sidewall mark and it was horrible, nearly got rid of them, moved the mount back and they changed totally from being rubbish to brilliant! tip does flap about somewhat though

carroz, sounds good, wear them in good health, keep an eye out for sidewall separation underfoot, and practice -really strong retraction- turns for when you get into a bump field.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

comprex, Thanks,.... one last thing, ......any advice on where to mount them (don't like drilling lots of holes!) considering where the kehuas are mounted?

carroz,

I mounted -mine- 1.5cm behind center with a fair bit of undertoe lift (6mm) but I have reason to think you and I have very different front-to-back balance in our boots.
