France - Val d'Isere ONE LINE ANSWER
However:
Quality of lifts - Lech
Quality of snow - Courcheval
Scenery - Zermatt
Nightlife - Sauze d'Oulx in general, Galli's Livigno, Smithy's Alpe d'Huez, eosb on a given night, the wooden doors - big curtain place, Kitzbuhel
Off-piste - 4 vallees
On-piste - Val d'Isere
Lack of crowds - moving on to
North America:
All round - Whistler - there are few places that are even close in the all round stakes
Off-piste - Jackson Hole (and a lot of the 'on-trail' is pretty damn serious because it's steep and it certainly ain't pisted)
Great off-piste w/o the crowds - Grand Targhee (one of the best days skiing of my life)
Nightlife - Whistler
Trees - Whistler
Ambience - Alpine Meadows on a bbq day
Scenery - Heavenly
One ludicrous night out - Banff
Ice skating with skis on - Sunshine (great oxymoron that Sunshine resort is)
And at the end of the day and other cliches, it's all about the people you were with, the time that you had and the weather Gods wanted to play a part.
