Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I'been trying for ages now to buy an Arbor Wasteland. I want the 2009 one in a 159. It has the skull and lightning on it. I cannot find one anywhere on the net that still sells it. I don't mind buying from abroad and paying the tax. It's about $450-$500, it's last years not this years which is about $650.

Can anyone help.

The shop over the road from where I work has a 159 wasteland, the one with the skull graphic, for $799 NZ.

Lovely board, if they had a 163 I would buy it.

Not sure where you are, so the postage might be a bit expensive, here's a link to the shop

I've had a look on their website but can't see it.

I could really do with getting this if possible.

I've e-mailed them but would it be possible for you to have a word for me?

I'm in England but the post doesn't matter.

A big ask I know but it would be greatly appreciated.

I've found one!

But it's a 163.

The Arbor guide chart says this is right for me. I'm not so sure.

I've only used 159's before.

I'm 5' 8" and 200lbs.

I only really go out in powder (ski if it's icy - sorry!).

Will 163 be OK or not?

Jumping Jack Flash, I'm a similar size Embarassed and 163 is fine if it's not a very narrow board.

Jumping Jack Flash, I am 5' 10' and find anything under a 163 a bit twitchy. Once you set an edge in it will seem that it will take a bit longer to turn so you will have to 'drive' it a bit more in comparison with your 159, but you will get used that after a few runs Very Happy

After all that, I had one last search before buying and found a store in America www.verticalurge.com who had one 159 left in their sale. I've bought it, £400 including postage!

All I need now are some brand new bindings!!!

Watch out for that import tax mate - I'd be interested to know how much you get charged, or are the shop marking it as "gift?"

Hmmm, barstewards!!!

I was so pleased at finding one, I forgot about that.

Oh well, it's done now and I got exactly what I wanted so I'll just have to live with it.

Even if it's £50, it's only the cost of a beer and a burger in Val D this year!!!

Jumping Jack Flash, let us know what the import duty and VAT (15%?) works out as a percentage, good to know for the future !

B@st@rds!!!!

15% VAT and £11 brokerage fee.

All came in at £85, which is still cheaper than the board here, which you can't buy anyway so I'm still happy.

It's been stood up in my office for the last two days.

It looks that good, it seems a shame to scratch it. I might just frame it and stick it on the wall!!!
